According to enXco, located in the San Gorgonio Pass of Riverside County, California, the 20MW project is comprised of Clipper Windpower Liberty 2.5MW turbines.

Under the multi-year agreement, enXco will provide operation and maintenance (O&M) for the balance of plant as well as oversight of the total project.

Dave Luck, director of business development at enXco, said: “We are pleased that BP Wind Energy has selected enXco to provide services for their wind project. This project is located in an area where enXco first began providing O&M services on 65kW turbines nearly 20 years ago. The new turbines demonstrate the dynamic growth of the industry and a striking contrast to the original Edom Hills units.

Earlier in November 2008, enXco and Xcel Energy announced plans to develop 351 megawatts of wind power in Minnesota and North Dakota by the end of 2011.

Accordingly, enXco will develop and build the 201 MW Nobles Wind Project located in Nobles County in southwestern Minnesota and the 150 MW Merricourt Wind Project in Dickey & McIntosh counties in southeastern North Dakota.

enXco, an EDF Energies Nouvelles Company develops, constructs, operates and manages renewable energy projects throughout the United States. The company’s portfolio includes solar and biomass technologies.
