The two exploration programs carried out at Mary Valley Manganese project during the 1920’s and 1960’s have yielded over 31,000t of high grade ore.

In addition, an initial field examination has indicated the presence of significant deposits of manganese mineralization worthy of testing with a planned exploration program.

Exploration activities will focus on the main historically producing mines to determine potential resources and grade of manganese mineralization and to delineate mineralized zones along strike from the previously mined areas.

The program will also include regional reconnaissance of the prospective area through aerial and ground geophysical surveys to delineate further mineralization.

Reconnaissance at the Moonford Iron Project will concentrate on the outcrop/subcrop limonite mineralization outlined by previous exploration program.

EPM will collect a 200kg sample for metallurgical studies to determine if the iron content can be upgraded to a saleable product, and will also collect surface geochemical samples frpm several probable iron mineralized zones identified through aerial mapping for analysis.

Eclipse Metals executive director Pedro Kastellorizos said the company is in stronger position to target the overall mineral potential in the areas, after completing the surveys.

"We look forward to updating the market on further progress with the development at our Projects and to commencing the next stage in the process leading to the definition of an indicated mineral resource," Kastellorizos added.
