With this partnership, solar thermal power plant costs could come down, making them a stronger contender in the alternative energy race, eSolar said.

eSolar global operations senior vice president Gary Breton said that the partnership will help the company realize its vision of making solar power competitive with fossil fuels.

Flextronics works with customers across various segments of solar manufacturing value chain, including Q-Cells, SunPower, Enphase, Amonix and Petra Solar.
