The power plant covers a total area of 6.5 hectares, and ET Solar acted as the engineering, procurement and construction contractor and module supplier.

Construction of the power plant was started in September 2010 and was connected to grid in December.

The plant was designed to generate approximately 2.6 million kWh electricity annually and reduce nearly 45,000 tons of carbon emission over a 30-year life.

This project is said to be the third ground-mounted power plant that ET Solar engineered, procured equipment for and constructed for Wattner using ET Solar modules in Germany.

The three projects totaled more than 6.2MW and are located in three different sites across the country.
