The first phase of the wind farm has a capacity of 36MW. The wind farm has 25 Vestas V-90 wind turbine generators with 2MW capacity each and its expected average annual production is 105,000MWh.
The Enel Union Fenosa Renovables (EUFER) wind farm has the capacity to supply power to 40,000 families. The power will be distributed by a 220kV high tension line which is connected to the Picon substation, owned by the national grid company Red Electrica de Espana.
Union Fenosa said that the clean facility would avoid the emission of 31,000 tons of CO2 to the atmosphere.
