Italian electricity producer Enel has put its subsidiary Eurogen SpA, with 7000 MW of generating assets, up for sale at a nominal price of 103 million Euros. Eurogen is one of three companies formed by Enel inoder to dispopose of 15 000 MW of assets, necessary to comply wityh Italian government and EU requirements under deregulation. The other two are Elettrogen (sold to an Endesa led consortium in July) and Interpower.

Nearly 103 million shares at a nominal value of 1 Euro each, the entire ordinary shareholding, are to be sold by private bid auction.
