Ludovika is urging the court to review the decision of the Ministry to identify whether it was made as per the Geological Law of Slovakia.
If successful in the proceedings, Ludovika may seek compensation. European Uranium and its joint venture partner Forte Energy have invested more than EUR25m in the Kuriskova project.
The Kuriskova property features 32km² of mineral licenses located about 10km northwest of the city of Kosice, a regional industrial centre in East-Central Slovakia.
The preliminary feasibility study on the project indicated that it can be developed as an underground mine/processing facility with a very small surface footprint.
It suggested indicated resource of 28.5 million pounds of U3O8 and an additional inferred resource of 12.7 million pounds of U3O8, using a cut-off of 0.05% U.
According to the study, there are several exploration targets within the Kuriskova license area, with the potential to expand the resource base and extend project life.
