The proposed Eurus Rokkasho Solar Park, which will be located in Takahoko site and Chitosedaira North site in the Mutsu-Ogawara Industrial Park, will feature around 510,000 panels of photovoltaic modules that are manufactured by Mitsubishi Electric and SunPower.
This solar power plant is expected to become operational in November 2015.
The plant will generate clean electricity, enough to power around 38,000 general households, by reducing 70,000 tons of CO2 emissions annually.
Eurus Energy, a global developer of renewable energies such as wind power generation and photovoltaic power generation, noted that the construction of Eurus Rokkasho Solar Park will boost the company’s position in Japan’s photovoltaic power generation business.
