Robert Hines, president of Evolution Solar, said: “This is a great opportunity to work in concert with a university for mutual benefit.”

By co-locating at a university, Evolution Solar will have access to the new site for customer and industry demonstrations, while at the same time providing an opportunity for the solar engineers to experience and learn from the newest solar technologies.

The demonstration installation will help Evolution Solar compete with industry players such as First Solar, GT Solar and Trina Solar, the company said.

Evolution Solar commercializes alternative solar energy technologies and related PV technologies, equipment and next generation appliances.
