Operators returned Monticello Nuclear Generating Plant, which has capacity of 600MW, to full power after workers repaired a gasket on a pipe flange.
The company said all plant safety systems functioned as designed when operators shut the units down on 14 August.
Meanwhile, Unit 1 of the twin-reactor at Prairie Island Nuclear Generating Plant is also back on line and continues to move toward full power, following an unrelated shut down last week.
At Prairie Island, operators placed the 550MW Unit 1 in service on 20 August, after workers repaired minor exhaust leaks on the diesel generators.
The 550MW Prairie Island Unit 2, however, was not affected by the Unit 1 shut down and continued to operate at full power.
Excel Energy said that neither situation posed any danger to the public or plant workers.
