Under the agreement, the partner has contracted Formation Fluids Mobile Water Treatment Unit to clean, desalinate, and surface discharge 10,000 cubic metres of previously impacted surface water to Alberta Environmental Standards.
Formation Fluids has agreed to clean and return the water to its natural source with minimal impact to the environment.
As the company sclean the produced water right at the source, it will reduce the need for trucking and disposal in excess of 70%, Formation Fluid claimed.
The project and contract is expected to last nearly 10 days.
