The move comes after the company completed project financing in May.

Decommissioning and removal of the existing pilot plant has started and is 30% complete.

The engineering, procurement, construction and management (EPCM) contracts have been signed and general site earthworks had also started.

Earthworks include widening and rerouting the site access road, building the residue slimes retaining wall, and early civil works.

The tender board committee has approved major-equipment, long-lead items and contracts had been placed, the company said.

Approximately 73% of the EPCM budget has been committed to date.
