By immediate enrollment, the customers can lock in a fixed price of 7.91 cents per kilowatt-hour (kWh) on electric generation through 2019, which is a savings over Met-Ed’s existing average residential rate of 8.18 cents per kWh.

FirstEnergy Solutions sales & marketing vice president Trent Smith said the PriceControl offer is a great opportunity for residents interested in price stability to take advantage of today’s historically low prices in the energy market.

"They’ll save money now and lock in a low price that won’t change for six years. A four-year plan is also available at 7.81 cents per kWh," Smith added.
