CCS Slovakia is the leading fuel card processor in the Slovak market. FleetCor has obtained the remaining ownership interest from UTA, a Germany-based fleet card company and CCS’s previous partner in the venture.
Through CCS Slovakia we plan to create an even stronger presence in Slovakia as we see significant business opportunities in this market, said Ron Clarke, FleetCor’s chairman and CEO. This transaction builds on our recent European investments and is consistent with our continuing strategy to build a global portfolio as the world’s leading fuel card company.
FleetCor’s other recent European forays include the acquisitions of KeyFuels and The Fuel Card Company in the UK. FleetCor also recently named Andrew Blazye, former global general manager for Shell’s fuel card and loyalty business, to be CEO of its European operations.
