Currently, the company is procuring short lead time and key items, including vertical regrind mills and process control hardware while refurbishment is nearing completion of the product handling systems, such as storage silos and material handling conveyors.

Since 2001, Woxna, a fully permitted brownfields graphite mine, has been on care and maintenance, the company said.

As part of refurbishment program to enable the plant to commence production by July 2014, the Flinders Resources has placed orders for Electrical and mechanical site works at the brownfield Woxna graphite processing plant facility are progressing as planned.

Flinders president and CEO Blair Way said that the new equipment orders finalization marks another important milestone for the mine production restart.

"With new equipment and refurbishment progressing on schedule, and within budget, it is an exciting time for Flinders, as we aim to re-establish the Woxna graphite project to its former position as a key supplier of graphite to Europe," Way added.
