The amount of the EPCM contract has not been disclosed.

The company will execute the project work as a part of the strategic global engineering, procurement, construction and construction management agreement it signed with Dow Chemical earlier this year.

Fluor Energy & Chemicals Group president Peter Oosterveer said, "The U.S. is experiencing a significant rebound in the petrochemical sector due to the attractive price of shale gas and we look forward to helping our long-time customer Dow realize this important project."

The company has already completed the front-end engineering and design contract for the project and will start work on the EPCM contract.

Flour’s Houston and Philippines operations centre will carry out the project work which is expected to be completed by 2015.

US-based Flour provides engineering, procurement, construction, management, and project management services.
