CFPS Engenharia e Projetos is Brazil-based consortium of Fluor and Construcap CCPS Engenharia e Comércio.

Under the contract, the consortium will build an 8.5 million-cubic-meters-per-day gas gathering system to help PGN achieve its 2016 production target, in its Gavião Branco onshore field.

Additional responsibilities include construction of a 40km-long gas pipeline that will transport the gas from the Gaviao Branco production and treatment facility in the Parnaiba Basin to the central gas processing facility located in Maranhão state.

Fluor Energy & Chemicals Americas business line president Jim Brittain said: "It speaks to the value of working closely with our client, starting with the project definition, to identify and implement the most capital efficient integrated solution."

The contract follows a deal signed earlier this year, by the consortium for the initial engineering and design work for the project.

Fluor Latin America sales vice-president Andrés Beran said: "This project is the result of the growing relationship between Fluor and Construcap that started with the formation of CFPS in 2012.

"We are focused on bringing integrated project solutions to our clients in Brazil to support their business growth."

Work under the contract has started at CFPS’s office in São Paulo, Brazil, and is expected to be complete in early 2016.
