The Laggan-Tormore field is located in water depths of approximately 1,950ft west of the Shetland Islands in the North Sea. FMC’s scope of supply includes the manufacture of nine subsea trees, eight wellheads and two six-slot manifolds.

FMC will also provide 12 multiphase meters, 10 subsea control modules and associated control systems. The equipment will be manufactured and assembled at the company’s facilities in Dunfermline, Scotland and Kongsberg, Norway and at its Multi Phase Meters (MPM) operation in Stavanger, Norway. Deliveries are scheduled to commence in the first quarter of 2011.

Tore Halvorsen, senior vice president of global subsea production systems at FMC, said: “The Laggan-Tormore field is located in one of the harshest environments of the UK continental shelf. We are pleased that Total has selected our systems and technologies for this highly technical project.”
