The company funded mapping, surface sampling and trenching programs at the project during 2012, which intersected several new flake graphite deposits.

Further work was also carried out on some of the occurrences which were identified previously by Lara.

Lara is seeking a new partner to advance the project, and plans to commence additional trenching in the coming months.

The Caninde project includes 15,614 hectares of exploration licenses and the graphite occurrences are hosted within schistose rocks and shear zones developed within a complex of felsic gneisses with meta-sedimentary schist enclaves.

Lara is an exploration firm that holds various prospects and deposits in Brazil, Peru, Colombia and Chile.
