The decision of the French government entails 109 small projects with a capacity of 21MW and the 105 large ones totaling 520MW.

The ministry has identified two bidders to execute the projects, one for building projects between 100kW and 250kW while the other would build projects with capacity greater than 250kW, reports Bloomberg.

Commutatively the projects envisage an investment of nearly approximately €1bn into the French solar industry.

The government is expected to unveil a report in September 2012 outlining a new course for its solar industry.
