The memorandum of understanding (MoU) details areas of interest ranging from participation in compressed natural gas (CNG) projects, gas-based petrochemicals opportunities, exploration and production opportunities in Russia and CIS countries and other projects of mutual interest.

UD Choubey, chief managing director of GAIL, and Igor Makarov, CEO of Itera Oil and Gas Company, signed the agreement.

Gas Authority of India (GAIL) said that this is a significant step to focus on the company’s competence in gas-based petrochemical projects and CNG in Russia with a major private Russian company.
