Under the agreement, Gamesa will supply turbines to the plants, as well as responsible for development and construction.

The wind farms will be constructed in the state of Oaxaca during the next three years.

Gamesa said that the projects will be developed under the self-supply regime and under the framework of Open Season II, which is being led and coordinated by the Mexican Energy Regulatory Commission and the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE).

The company has already has installed over 1,000MW of capacity in Mexico, while it also serves close to 800MW in the nation under O&M agreements.
