The Spanish firm said that the order represents the largest solar order received since its entry into Indian renewable sector last year.
Under the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract, Gamesa will be responsible for the development of two solar power plants, with a capacity of 90MW and 40MW.
Gamesa will also procure 96 Gamesa Electric-built E1.37MW photovoltaic inverters.
The contract scope also includes operations and maintenance of the two projects, which are planned to be commissioned in March 2017.
Gamesa India CEO Ramesh Kymal said: "This contract marks a fresh milestone in our strategy in the solar power segment in India.
“Here at Gamesa we continue to strive to offer our customers unrivalled solutions, by leveraging our know-how developing and managing renewable energy projects and our competitive local supply chain.”
The projects are expected to contribute to the Indian government's effort to boost its installed solar capacity from current 3.8GW to 100GW by 2022.
Separately, Gamesa said that its shareholders have approved a merger with the wind power division of German engineering company Siemens.
Upon completion of the transaction, Gamesa will have a 41% stake in the merged entity while Siemens will hold a majority 59% share.
