The company will build 50MW and 108MW wind power farms in the states of Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh, respectively.

The Gujarat wind farm will feature 25 G97-2.0MW Class S turbines, while Madhya Pradesh project will have 54 them. The turbines are designed for low wind speed sites typical of India.

Gamesa will also be responsible for the supply of infrastructure required to install and operate the projects, as well as maintain them under long-term service contracts.

The two prject are scheduled to enter service in July 2015 and February 2016 respectivey.

Gamesa is also supplying 18 G97-2.0MW turbines to four wind farms in the states of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra.

The company has so far installed over 1,700MW in India.
