The company will install 75 units of the G97-2.0MW at the Senjitu II wind farm.

The agreement was signed between the Spanish President Mariano Rajoy and the Chinese Premier Li Keqiang. It was part of Rajoy’s China visit which is aimed at furthering bilateral ties between the two countries.

The company will install the machine at the Senjitu II wind farm, which is located in the province of Hebei, to the southwest of Beijing. The turbines for the machine will be provided over the course of 2015.

Gamesa has installed more than 30,000MW in around 45 countries and has its production centres in Spain and China. It also has its local production units in India, US, and Brazil.

The company said that since 2008, it has supplied 128MW to HCIG, which is considered to be one of the top 10 wind power operators in China and the largest player in Hebei province.

Gamesa started operations in China in 2000 and has installed over 3,500MW and currently services almost 900MW.
