The first deal has been signed with Companhia de Energias Renováveis (CER) for the supply, transport, installation and commissioning of 34 G97-2.0 MW turbines, totaling 68MW, at the Assuruá II, Assuruá V and Assuruá VII wind farms within the Xique-Xique wind complex.

Gamesa will manufacture the turbines at its local Camaçari factory, and plans to deliver the order in the second quarter of 2015.

The another deal is with Ventos dos Guarás I Energias Renováveis, a joint venture of Atlantic Energias Renováveis and Casa dos Ventos, for the supply, transport, installation and commissioning of another 15 turbines of the same model, totaling 30MW, at the Ventos dos Guarás I wind farm in the Morrinhos complex.

The order is expected to be delivered in the third quarter of 2015, while construction of both the projects is scheduled to be completed by December 2015.

In addition, for 15 years, the company will provide the operation and maintenance (O&M) services at the facilities, noted Gamesa.

Gamesa has now received firm orders for the supply of 1,394 MW of its turbines to projects being built in the country’s windiest regions, with these two new orders for an aggregate 98MW.
