The extended contract was agreed two years ago and is reportedly the biggest in the Spanish industrial sector in terms of consumption, value and the length of the contract.

In addition to the Spanish Association of Manufacturers of Ceramic Wall and Floor Tiles’s (ASCER) member companies, the agreement also covers companies belonging to the Association of Spanish Ceramic Frits, Glazes and Pigments Producers (ANFFECC).

The Spanish ceramics sector uses natural gas in its production processes and is one of the main consumers of this energy. The sector’ demand for natural gas reportedly represents 10% of industrial gas consumption in Spain.
