The Tver Oblast gasification program execution, in context of which the Zekhnovo automated gas distribution station (AGDS)–Ostashkov gas pipeline was commissioned, is expected to improve the living standards of the population and supply it with economical and ecological fuel.

The total length of the gas pipeline is 16.7km and the full capacity is 225 million cubic meters per year. An agreement of co-operation between Gazprom and the Tver Oblast was signed in January 2002 and has no expiry date.

The Tver Oblast’s gasification rate is 53.6%, including 71.2% in cities and towns, and 18.8% in rural areas. In 2008, Gazprom plans to commit RUB767 million for regional gasification.
