An agreement was also signed on the principles for the gas pricing structure of Turkmen gas, which will help fix a price based on the market principles within the framework of Gazprom’s long-term contract for natural gas purchase from Turkmenistan.

Another agreement was signed on Gazprom’s participation in investment projects in Turkmenistan’s natural gas industry, which sets out the terms for the funding and construction of new gas mains from the eastern part of Turkmenistan by Gazprom, developing field infrastructure and increasing the capacity of the Turkmen section of the Pre-Caspian gas pipeline to up to 30 billion cubic meters of gas per year.

The two parties have also agreed to construct the buildings for a Gazprom representative office and a branch of the IM Gubkin Russian State Oil & Gas University in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan.
