The subsidiary, known as LNGeneration, will provide a secure solution for LNG transportation, storage, supply, and regasification.

The company said LNGeneration promotes access to natural gas for industrial customers without connections to gas distribution networks.

LNGeneration provides fixed price services for up to five years, or prices that are indexed to the market price of energy products and based on the expertise of GDF SUEZ Trading.

The firm assumes operating responsibility and the facility’s regulatory compliance assurance for the contract’s life.

GDF Suez said with LNGeneration it is accelerating its development in France for new uses of LNG to benefit the competitiveness of French industrial firms.

The company currently has LNG portfolio of 16 million metric tons per year derived from six different countries, a fleet of 17 LNG tankers, and a presence in the global regasification terminals.
