“A cargo to cool facilities at the terminal is expected to arrive on Oct. 26,” said GDF Suez spokeswoman.

“We now expect a commercial start-up of 20 percent of the terminal’s capacity in the first quarter of 2010,” she said.

GDF Suez has to re-submit the application for second time to the local authorities for the approval to operate 100% of its terminal after an administrative court ruled in July 2009 that the company could not operate its terminal due to a procedural error.

Initially, the project was expected to commence in June 2007, but a piping accident postponed the start date to June 2009.

The terminal is owned by GDF Suez (69.7%) and Total SA (30.3%).
