Under the contract, GE has agreed to deliver ten units of its 1.6-82.5 wind turbine and operations and maintenance services for the power project, totaling 16MW of power generation capacity.
Cong Ly Company also has plans for a second phase of the wind farm, which will add about 120MW of power to the country.
The project will bring clean power generation to Vietnam’s Mekong Delta.
The GE turbines chosen for this project feature an 82.5m rotor for class III wind conditions.
