The wind farm will be operated by Eesti Energia and Nelja Energia, and each operator is buying nine units of the GE 2.5-100 wind turbine for the project.

Delivery of the turbines is scheduled to begin next year, and the power project will also be supported by a ten-year full service agreement from GE.

GE said that the service agreement will provide both operators with its comprehensive operation and maintenance support that includes advanced anomaly detection, unplanned maintenance and an availability guarantee.

The Paldiski wind energy project is expected to commence commercial operation in 2012.
