As part of the deal, GE will undertake the support and maintenance of four vessels, comprising of Corcovado, Kita, Palu and Yari.

GE will offer maintenance services to electric propulsion system of TMS fleet. The services include offering parts to the propulsion motors, medium-voltage drives, generators and switchboard.

The company will also upgrade propulsion automation systems of the vessels, enabling to advance their remote and diagnostic capabilities.

Four vessels have been installed with GE’s electric propulsion systems, which are claimed to be few of the cleanest propulsions for LNG vessels.

TMS’ fleet will be equipped with a Visor remote monitoring system, which will offer operators with vessel health status. It will allow to identify potential issues that that will affect the ability to provide the diagnostic service.

The digital software help’s GE’s field service engineers to quickly evaluate the potential root cause of the failure and recovery paths options to execute effective service during unplanned downtime.
