The 10-year service contract covers Cobra Energia’s entire fleet of GE 1.5MW wind turbines coming off warranty between 2010 and 2012.
This contract is expected to bring several benefits to Cobra Energia, including wind turbine availability, improved performance, extended life and predictable maintenance costs, remote control of turbine operations, and advanced troubleshooting capabilities.
GE Power & Water general manager of global wind services Diarmaid Mulholland said that Cobra Energia will benefit from the latest GE technology as well as its global resources and commitment to increasing project performance and profitability.
