Under the agreement with Noble, GE will provide wind turbines for new build and expansion projects in New York and Texas that will add nearly 500MW of wind power capacity to the US’s renewable energy supply.

This is the fourth wind turbine supply contract that GE and Noble have signed over the past three years, adding up to 877 of GE’s 1.5MW wind turbines with a total value of more than $1.5 billion.

Under the agreement with Iberdrola, GE will supply the GEPVp-200 modules for projects that will add 11.6MW of solar capacity to Spain’s electricity grid by the end of 2007.

GE said that Iberdrola Ingenieria Y Construccion will install the GE modules in ground-mounted arrays for several projects around the Extremadura autonomous community of western Spain. GE claims that the solar modules will accelerate the installation process by reducing the amount of racking and labor associated with a large solar array installation.
