The extension will increase the capacity of the power plant to 370MW by adding a steam turbine to the process. This will at the same time increase the efficiency of the power plant.

Jorg Jeliniewski, division president of GEA Thermal Engineering, said: “This new order from Israel continues the successful co-operation of GEA with power plant operators in the country that started almost 30 years ago and has led to a substantial share of plants that use GEA components.”

GEA Thermal Engineering is part of GEA’s energy and farm technology segment.
