The company’s customers would also get a real-time data stream provided through the Genscape interface and data feed services, along with infrared photos of monitored plants. Genscape interprets the pictures to estimate the megawatts being produced at the plant and to find out whether the plant is running or not.
Michael McAuliffe, vice president of sales and marketing in Genscape, said: This technology has allowed Genscape to monitor over 20 plants in urban areas that have previously been underserved by Genscape. We now have over 98% of all the coal and nuclear plants in ERCOT monitored.“
