The hydro scheme will comprise a 1.5m high dam at the outflow from Loch an Leathiad Bhuain and a buried pipe which will convey the water to the turbine generators in the powerhouse.
The scheme was given the go-ahead by Scottish Ministers in January 2011 after a water licence was granted from the Scottish Environment Protection Agency under the Controlled Activities Regulations
