The assay results from the first two holes, GLK-14-01 and GLK-14-02, include 1.6m grading 10.74% and 12.3m grading 5.3%; 3.35m grading 6.25% respectively.

The holes were drilled in the southern part of the Lochaber claim group in the vicinity of the Plumbago mine site.

Great Lakes Graphite CEO Paul Gorman said: "We are very pleased that these new results confirm the continuity of the mineralization within the Lochaber resource.

"The graphite grades we are obtaining near surface confirm our understanding in the exceptional quality of flake graphite at the Lochaber property.

The results will be incorporated by SRK Consulting with existing drill data to complete the project’s resource estimate by the first quarter this year.

Drilling data will also help evaluate the pit optimization of the mining plan during the feasibility study, the company said.
