This contract represents a CCGT simulator project. In addition, the simulator also includes an associated desalination plant located at the same site.

The simulator will be used to train both the plant control room operators as well as local field operators who manipulate equipment located outside of the control room.

The company also received a contract to engineer and build a simulator for a 480MW, coal fired power plant under construction in Chile. The simulator will be used to validate and verify control systems as well as train the initial plant operators.

John Moran, CEO of said: “The specification for the project in Saudi Arabia is one of the most detailed we have seen for a conventional power plant simulator and reflects an increasing demand from our customers for high fidelity simulation in the conventional power plant market.

“Providing the more sophisticated plant models has always been our strength. The project in South America is significant because it represents entry into a relatively new geography for us where power demands are expected to grow in the future.”
