Awarded by Fideicomiso Central Termoelectrica Guillermo Brown (Guillermo Brown), the $800m contract covers power transmission, fuel supply solutions, as well as a full service maintenance package for the next 10 years.

Additionally, Siemens will deliver two F-Class gas turbines, two generators, and the infrastructure works at the port to offload fuel, high-voltage transmission lines, switchyard, and fuel pipelines for the power plant.

With an electrical generating capacity of approximately 580MW, the new power plant’s commissioning is scheduled to take place in 2015.

Siemens Energy has constructed several power plants in Argentina, including in Campana, Timbues, Brigadier Lopez and Ensenada plants, which have a combined generating capacity of about 3,000MW, over the past several years.
