The deal covers previous long term service agreement (LTSA) and long term parts agreement (LTPA).

Under the agreements, Alstom will oversee the service and maintenance as well as provide new parts, reconditioning services and field service for planned outages for existing gas turbines, steam turbines and generators at the power plant until 2033.

Alstom Thermal Services senior vice president Michael Rechsteiner said: "We are delighted to be given this opportunity to support Thailand achieve its energy goals."

Power generated from the Kaeng Khoi IIfacility is sold to Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) under a 25-year deal.

Alstom has been operating inThailand for over 40 years, and has so far supplied more than 7GW of installed capacity.
