Global Wind Service (GWS) has recently completed the second phase of Hornsdale wind farm by completing the installation of 32 Siemens turbines.
Construction started on 1 December 2016 and GWS completed the installation of phase II at Hornsdale Wind Farm in just 13 weeks – despite a hot South Australian summer period.
Together with Siemens site management, our experienced GWS technicians have performed well and it has been awarded with phase III as a direct result of our successful cooperation, starting 15 May 2017. Phase III will consist of 35 x Siemens 3.2-130DD turbines.

Neoen partnered with Siemens Wind Power Australia to further its goals for renewable energy alternatives. Hornsdale Wind Farm will generate approximately 1,050,000MWh of clean, renewable electricity into Australia’s national power grid each year, powering 180,000 homes.
This will be the equivalent of taking either 290,000 cars off the road or planting 1,900,000 trees.
