In addition, there are intents to enhance the liquefied natural gas (LNG) handling capacity at the Hazira port from the present level of 2.5 million tones to 3.75 million tones by 2009-end. Hazira Port is now operating a 2.5-million-tonne LNG terminal at the Hazira port.
Hazira Port is a joint venture between the Royal Dutch Shell plc and India’s Total S.A.
