Under the contract, H.B. Canada will build 24MW project portfolio, which will include 10MW Pockwock, 6MW Millbrook, 4MW Truro-Heights and 4MW Whynotts community wind projects.

The projects will be developed under the Nova Scotia Community Feed-In-Tariff program and each project will be partially owned by the local community, noted juwi Wind Services.

Vestas will supply 12 V100-2.0MW turbines for four projects, as part of the turbine supply agreements.

juwi Wind Services Canada operations director Jed van Sciver said the company saw real value in White’s competitive pricing, capacity and previous Nova Scotia experience.

Chebucto Pockwock Lake Wind Field president Terry Norman said, "Using the White organization gives our local investors greater certainty that our project will be completed on-time and on-budget."
