The Belmont AWT plant serves around 449,000 homes and businesses in Indianapolis and surrounding communities.

Headworks president and CEO Michele LaNoue said, "The Belmont AWT Plant needs high quality screens that can handle a consistent amount of large debris like sticks and stones without jamming or requiring operator attention. The plant can rest assured that the screens provided by Headworks will get the job done and last for many years to come."

The plant is also combined with the sewer system in the old city limits, and the system carries both sewage and storm water in the same pipe.

The Belmont AWT plant will be able to treat 300 million gallons of wastewater per day during primary treatment.

In partnership with Thieneman Construction, Headworks will replace the five-year old climber type screens currently operating at the plant and startup is expected to be completed by the end of August 2012.
