PRO conducted the tests on a composite sample of graphite from the mine at its facilities in Mississauga, Ontario.

Tests were designed to develop a flotation concentration flow sheet, to optimize the graphite’s crystalline structure and particle sizes.

The flotation concentration optimization results include 1.44%, 44% and 12.2% particle size distribution for super jumbo flake, jumbo flake, and large flake graphite classes respectively with 96.5%, 96.4% and 94.5% total graphitic carbon.

Concentrate from the mineral beneficiation process was sent to AGAT Laboratories for carbon-as-graphite analysis using a LECO furnace and infrared detector.

Great Lakes Graphite CEO Paul Gorman said: "These test results confirm that a high-purity concentrate can be easily produced from the graphite at Lochaber.

"These purity levels taken together with the flake size distribution we recently reported continue to demonstrate the hiqh quality of the mineralization at Lochaber."
