Climate Leaders is an EPA industry-government collaboration to develop climate-change strategies. Companies commit to reducing impact on the global environment by completing a corporate-wide inventory of their greenhouse gas emissions based on a quality management system, setting reduction goals, and annually reporting progress to the EPA.
Hitachi Consulting has already implemented SAP Carbon Impact to help measure and manage its sustainability efforts. It has set long-term environmental targets of becoming emission-neutral as a company by 2015 (Vision 2015) and helping to reduce global CO2 emissions in general by 100 million tons annually through Hitachi manufacturing efficiencies and efficient use of Hitachi products by 2025.
