“A recent upswing in domestic steel production has resulted in a parallel increase in production of electric arc furnace dust, the primary raw material feedstock for our recycling facilities. We remain hopeful that the economy will continue to strengthen as we head towards the 4th quarter of 2009,” said Jim Hensler, Horsehead’s president and chief executive officer. The Company expects to recall approximately 30 employees.
